A Day of Inspiration with Teri Griege

At age 50, Teri Griege was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Throughout her treatment she continued to train and ultimately competed in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Today she dedicates her time to showing others with serious illnesses that they, too, can succeed.

Red Ladies WIN for KC Training Kick Off

Time to kick off triathlon training season!

Join WIN for KC to kick off the Triathlon Training Season at the Sprint Campus on May 16 for a triathlon training kickoff event.  The agenda includes transition talks and practice, Bike Maintenance 101 presented by Epic Bike & Sport, mental skills with Coach Darrell Phillips, and Tri Gear 101 with Ultramax.  Experienced coaches and triathletes will be on hand to answer your training and race questions as you prepare for the WIN for KC Triathlon. 

If you would like to participate in a Transition 101 practice with the Red Ladies during the event, please register.  This workout will include setting up your transition space, a creative way to simulate a swim/bike transition (don’t worry, not swimsuit required) and completing a short bike (less than 5 miles) and run (less than 1 mile) workout (aka “brick”).  Don’t worry!  Coach Liz and Coach Jodi will talk you through it.  The workout will start at 8 a.m. 

You do not have to participate in the workout to attend the training kickoff event.

WIN for KC First Timers Forum

Save the date for the WIN for KC First Timer's Forum! Bring your questions and learn more about what to expect on race day. We will have triathlon experts that have participated in the WIN for KC Triathlon on hand to answer your questions and give you tips to help calm your nerves.

Tri 101/Tri 102 with Peggy Donovan

This six week women’s only program is designed specifically to get you ready for the WIN for KC Triathlon.  
Mondays, June 15 - July 20

Tri 101 - For beginners who have never completed a triathlon before: $140 (plus $12 USAT fee or annual membership)
Tri 102 - If you have completed several triathlons before and are looking to improve: $100 (plus $12 USAT fee or annual membership)

Train for your tri with the Y

This is a nine week women's only group training specifically for the WIN for KC Triathlon.

Garmin Training Rides

Join us for a group ride starting at Garmin Headquarters. Arrive early for the chance to borrow a Garmin device to see how far and how fast you rode. This is a 10-mile ride on streets with low traffic — all levels of riders are welcome
